Bio
Dr. Marie Rodriguez, is a native of Fairfax, Virginia. She received her undergraduate training in Chemistry from the University of Virginia and her doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University. After receiving her naturopathic medical degree, she practiced at a private clinic in Seattle, specializing in women’s health, hormone balancing and metabolic detoxification.
She has also completed a year of volunteer medical service at a free clinic on Nicaragua’s Ometepe Island. Being service oriented and fluent in Spanish, Marie has maintained contact with this local community and looks forward to returning on medical missions in the future.
As a naturopathic physician, Marie uses medicines and therapies that treat the whole person. She utilizes nutrition and detoxification, herbal remedies, biotherapeutic drainage, and lifestyle counseling to treat both acute and chronic conditions. Marie creates personalized care plans to address her patient�s immediate health goals with a focus on disease prevention. Through education, she encourages her patients to be active in their own healing process.
Additionally, Marie practices to provide stress relief and encourage the body’s inherent self-healing capabilities. Craniosacral therapy focuses on relieving areas of restriction within the fascia to improve nerve transmission, circulation, and flow of vital fluids. It is deeply relaxing, and reduces symptoms of pain and discomfort.
Dr. Rodriguez believes that each individual’s journey to wellness is unique. She recognizes that healing occurs at physical, emotional, and spiritual levels, and strives to meet each of her patients at their stage of healing. Her goal is to compassionately facilitate individuals in reaching their fullest potential.
